(Office of Physical Education) On March 5, the university held the 2026 Spring Semester Physical Education Major Teacher Training Internship and Teaching Support Departure Mobilization Meeting. Vice President Ge Gang attended the meeting.

In his mobilization speech, Ge Gang pointed out that the internship and teaching support program is a crucial experience for fulfilling educational missions and supporting youth development. He expressed hope that the leading teachers would fulfill their duties with dedication, provide careful guidance, care for the students, and ensure adequate support. He encouraged the teacher trainees to strengthen their learning and reflection, embody the spirit of educators, strictly adhere to professional ethics, school rules, and regulations, build a strong safety foundation, and refine their professional skills with a rigorous attitude, thereby showcasing the spirit of Nanchang University students.

At the meeting, a representative from the Academic Affairs Office provided guidance on standardizing course learning and enhancing practical components. A representative from the Physical Education College issued a call to the teaching support students, encouraging them to cherish the opportunity for grassroots practice, integrate their professional knowledge with teaching practice, cultivate their character, improve their abilities, and bring honor to the university while adding luster to their youth.

During the meeting, Ge Gang presented a flag to the college's teaching support team bound for Shangrao City. Eight students, representing the eight counties (cities/districts) they were about to depart for, stepped forward to receive the flags. The teacher trainees expressed their commitment to engaging in teaching practice with enthusiasm and a dedicated attitude, fulfilling the original aspiration of the teaching support program, and demonstrating the positive spirit and sense of mission of Physical Education College students.

It is reported that in accordance with relevant policy documents and after careful selection, a total of 791 teacher trainees from 12 universities across the province will be matched with 344 supported schools. Among them, 40 Physical Education majors from the Class of 2023 at our university will undertake internship and teaching support assignments from March to July at 31 supported schools in Shangrao City.
